Rescue Diver

Rewarding and fun – that best describes the PADI Rescue Diver course. This course will expand your knowledge and experience level: Rescue Divers learn to look beyond themselves and consider the safety and well being of other divers. Although this course is serious, it is an enjoyable way to build your confidence.  The Emergency First Response Primary Care (CPR) and Secondary Care (First Aid) courses meet these requirements.

Prerequisites: Advance Diver and successfully completed a sanctioned CPR program within the past 24 months. Minimum 20 logged dives.

Age Limits: Minimum age is 12 years old.

Equipment Needed:

You will need  mask, snorkel, boots, fins, wet suit, complete SCUBA unit. If you are missing certain equipment, we have rental equipment available.

Provided- PADI Rescue Diver Manual

Class Structure:

Home study consists of reading chapters and completing knowledge reviews. Class will begin with a lesson consisting of lecture and rescue videos based on the home study chapters. The lesson is followed by a short quiz based on the material covered.  Then in the pool the subjects learned in class will be put into action.

Skill Requirements: You must complete the following:

  • final exam with a 75% or better
  • prepare an emergency assistance plan
  • 4 open water rescue scenarios

Please be sure to bring a notebook, pen/pencil, bathing suit and towel to all classes.
